UT Austin Redesign (Web)
Read MoreNew Icons
I designed these with a combination of icons found online (google images) and adjustments made in Photoshop. I hollowed out all the white areas, changed the colors to more closely represent the burnt orange that is UT's school color, and added bevels to give them a more tactile presence on the page.
Redesigned Academics and Campus Life pages
I created new wireframes for my version of the web pages, for both desktop and mobile platforms. Using Photoshop, I added my own visual design, incorporating elements of earlier stages of the project, such as the photograph in the footer, and adding a personal touch by using a "handwritten" font with the icons I originally created for the home page.
For both of these pages, I felt that it was important to have the sections with times and dates at the top, rather than in the middle of the page, so that they would always be "above the fold" and easy for the user to spot when first opening the page. Rearranging the sections with this in mind also resulted in a more consolidated look with less wasted space on the page.Redesigned Athletics and Community Pages
Both of these pages had quite a bit of wasted space on them, and the Athletics page had mostly links without much in the way of visual interest. I added images to the Athletics page, and rearranged both pages to better utilize the available space.
